About Amanda

I am currently living in my hometown of Troy, NY. If I’m not out and about supporting local Troy business (read: patronizing the numerous fine bars, pubs, and eateries scattered throughout the city) I can usually be found puttering around the apartment either attempting to clean up the perpetual mess or making a new mess in the kitchen. I am a firm believer in what I’ve come to call “Better Living Through Star Trek,” but find guilty pleasure in Spike’s Movie Marathon Weekends. I am a dog person and a Research Scientist, a lover of fine wine, cheese, and Chinese food. I am making an effort to get back into reading and writing (two of my favorite past times that have fallen by the wayside over the last few years while I’ve been busy being a Grown-up and trying to figure out how to balance all that cooking, cleaning, laundry, and late-night sci-fi).
